Investment News – 30 March 2020

The Stock Exchange of Mauritius did not operate last week and will maintain suspension of its trading activities till 2nd April in line with the national lockdown.

The Euro Stoxx 50 Index gained 7.07%, closing at 2’728.65. SAFRAN SA was the best performing stock, increasing 31.42%, while ESSILORLUXOTTICA had the biggest decline, dropping 7.03%. The index is down 27.49% so far this year.

The S&P 500 Index gained 10.26%, closing at 2’541.47. The best performer was BOEING CO, increasing 70.51%, while NORDSTROM INC had the biggest loss, decreasing 10.36%. The index is down 21.34% so far this year.
